Just got a new 2008 Odyssey EX-L. Found this item on Amazon and it is listed as compatible with my car. Listed as being installed with Adhesive tape. When the item arrived, no tape in package. Item is wrong shape for 2008 hood. Listed 2005 and 2006 Honda models on package.

Review of Auto Ventshade 21417 Low Profile Hoodflector

I ordered this, as it was the most inexpensive that I could find on the net.The first one came with the whole end smashed, box and all. The thing was in pieces.Amazon replaced right way, and the second was in much better shape.It installed on the truck with no drilling, fit the already present holes in the hood, took all of about 3 minutes to install.Great product.The box said "UPS approved container", but it obviously didn't survive the gorilla test. I have seen the same one locally at around 50 bucks, so this was a good deal with free shipping.

Review of Auto Ventshade 23454 Bugflector Smoke Hood Shield

Looks good, fits good but it has a few issues. First, they state "...can be installed with a 3M adhesive foam tape" which could be true if it were included in the package... which it isn't. however, even if it were I wouldn't recommend sticking anything on the front of your hood with tape and then hitting the highway... and the speed limit here in Idaho is 75 and seeing this thing fly off, up and over your vehicle and into one behind you is more than I want to see.

Secondly, my Ford Expedition, like most other vehicles, already have holes pre-drilled on the underside of the hood to use the included plastic screws & shims. The screws are too short and can't be tightened enough to hold the deflector in place and the shims just rotate in place so they're useless.

To install this properly you need to pre-drill some new holes in the plastic near the existing holes, mark the new spots on the underside of the hood and then drill the hood and use some sheet metal screws. I tried using some self tapping screws in a cordless drill without pre-drilling the shield and it broke so don't try that one. Using metal screws with a flat washer, short ones or they'll come through the finish side of your hood, is the only way to do the install.

Item is a 5 star but the lame install material makes it a 4 star.

Auto Ventshade 94420 Ventvisor 4-Piece Smoke Window VisorI have a 2007 Toyota Prius and like to keep the windows cracked in the summer while at work. I wanted the stick on type but no luck finding them so I tried these, they slide into channel of the window, I had this type (differant manufactor)on a Honda CRV and the window stuck when I closed it, but this brand the front window guards installed very easy and the windows go up the way they should.The two rear window guards come with two metal clips, you have a tool they send you to pull the rubber window gasket out of the channel with so you can install the clips, I had a hard time doing this and could not get the rubber gasket back in channel so I just left the clips out and they stayed in place so far.

As a product whole they are great. The ability to leave your windows down in the rain is wonderful. The ease of installation is also a plus. As a personal purchase experience, very bad. I have bought Ventvisors for many years and have never had the tape come away from the visor. It's usually coming off the window indicating that they were not installed correctly, but when the tape comes off the visor itself, it usually indicates a defective product.
