I ordered this product as a replacement for the same but older product that had gotten busted.The design is slightly different from the original 2005 Ventshades I had installed on my Toyota Tacoma in 2005.(For example, there is now a "bottom lip" to the ventshade.There is now also a white AVS logo embossed on only the front ventshade.The model number is absent on the new ventshade, and it does not tapper to an end at the side mirror.)Despite the minor design differences, the Ventshade fits perfectly.The tint color has not changed.Because of the design changes, I felt I needed to replace not just the broken Ventshade, but both pieces on the passenger side of the vehicle.However, because the design differences are so minor, I choose not to replace the original Ventshades on the driver's side.
I will add that it was a bear to remove the old Ventshade.I used fishing line to separate the old Ventshade from its adhesive strip.It then took me quite a while to remove the adhesive strip residue.I oscillated using Acetone and denatured alcohol, but neither held the advantage.Eventually, the adhesive melted away.
