I purchased this for my 2008 CR-V.Overall, I think this item is fantastic. Some observations:1) There is enough room in between the shield and the car hood for you to reach your hands in between to wipe.
2) NO TAPE.Installed onto current screw/holes in the hood.No drilling involved.
3) Reason I only gave this 4 stars, it is small, but I noticed it.The surface of the deflector is not completely smooth. So under good lighting, you can see the "distortion".
4) ALSO, it was mentioned in one of the CR-V forums.... after installation, if you look at it from the front, you will noticed the driver side, corner is just slightly "off".Again, it is small, but noticeable. The link to the forum:
[...] I can live with this... small thing.
OVERALL, very happy w/ the product.Looks good and easy to clean, installed w/o any problems.
